ORDINANCE NUMBER 2.02
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF BRIGHAM PROVIDING FOR
THE APPOINTMENT OF THE OFFICE OF TOWN CLERK/TREASURER

WHEREAS, pursuant to Sec. 60.305(1) of the Wisconsin State Statutes, at a special Town meeting held on April 14, 2004, the offices of Town Clerk and Town Treasurer were combined into the office of Town Clerk/Treasurer; and

WHEREAS, the Town Board intends to make the Town Clerk/Treasurer an appointed office.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Town Board of the Town of Brigham, Iowa County, Wisconsin, does hereby ordain as follows:

SECTION A APPOINTMENT OF TOWN CLERK/TREASURER

The Town of Brigham Clerk/Treasurer shall be appointed by a majority of the members of the Town of Brigham Town Board, for a term of three years, in accordance with procedures set forth in Sec. 60.30(1e) of the Wisconsin State Statutes.


SECTION B EFFECTIVE DATE

This Ordinance shall take effect upon the expiration of the current terms of the Town Clerk and the Town Treasurer.
