ORDINANCE
NUMBER 4.04
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF BRIGHAM
TO REGULATE THE BUILDING AND MAINTENANCE OF FENCESSECTION A AUTHORITY
AND PURPOSE
The Town Board of the Town of Brigham has hereby accepted and adopted
the following into this Ordinance: Chapter 90.01 inclusive through Chapter
90.16 of the Wisconsin Statutes, as amended from time to time.
SECTION B VIOLATIONS AND CONSEQUENCES
1 Violations.
When made aware of a potential violation of this Ordinance, the Town
Clerk shall send a letter to the property owner specifically informing
them of the potential violation. The property owner will be given thirty
days from the date of the letter to come into compliance with this Ordinance.
If after thirty days, the fence(s) in question have not been brought
into compliance with this Ordinance, the property owner will legally
be in violation of this Ordinance as of that date.
2 Cost Recovery.
If a person fails to make the corrections or alterations as ordered,
or is in violation of this Ordinance in any way, the Town Board may
make the corrections or alterations and charge the Town’s cost
to the property as a special charge, pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes
Section 66.0627(16)(a).
